Transportation
The primary access to Miyajima Island is via ferry. From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (approx. 25 minutes). From Miyajimaguchi Station, walk a few minutes to the ferry terminal. JR ferries (covered by the Japan Rail Pass) and other private ferries operate frequently to Miyajima Island (approx. 10 minutes). Once on Miyajima, the shrine is a short walk from the ferry terminal.
